My light-bathed day

 

Only you could take the pallid hues

and make them sparkle and shine

it seems that everything you do

warms this heart of mine -

We met, lost in the winter snow -

not sure if we'd survive -

We held each other ever so close

and smiled at being alive

 

You kissed my eyes. I nuzzled your cheek,

The weather suddenly wasn't so bleak

We changed the coldest night.

to a day bathed in light

 

To me if it wasn't for you

and to you, if it wasn't for me

we'd be alone in the pallid hues

And by all accounts we'd freeze

 

But really we're in the snow, so cold

with only ourselves to hold

But still I'm lost in your eyes

You're my day bathed in light.
